Dr Joseph K Job is an academic and renowned translator.
Joseph was Associate Professor and Head of the Malayalam Department at Mary Matha Arts & Science College, Mananthavady, and Principal of MSS College of Arts & Science, Tharuvana. He has worked as a research fellow at the Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL) in Mysore and as a teacher at the Southern Regional Language Centre and served as a lecturer at St. Philomena’s College, Mysore. He is a research guide at Kannur University.
He holds a BA in History, an MA in Malayalam Literature and Linguistics, and a Ph.D. in Linguistics.
He has published articles and studies in academic journals, Mathrubhumi Weekly, Madhyamam, Malayalam Pachakuthira, and in online journals like True Copy Think, WTP, and Dool News.
His published works include BhashayumAadhunikotharathayum (Language and Postmodernism), BhashayumVamsheeyathayum (Language and Racism), Wayanad: Kalam MukhamNokkunnaAbhimukhangal (Wayanad: Faces Looking at Time), BharatheeyaBhashajyothi – Malayalam, and PranayamennothirayanennuPeridavunna… (a poetry collection). He has also translated Arundhati Roy’s Azadi and the book The Less You Preach, The More You Learn (titled IthiriMatramUpadesham, OthiriyadhikamVijnanam in Malayalam), written by Shashi Tharoor and Joseph Zacharias. He has published several translations and interviews.
