Prof. Kusumam Joseph

Writer, environmental activist, orator.

Prof. Kusumam Joseph is a renowned writer, environmental activist, social worker, and speaker. A native of Thrissur, she served as Head of the Malayalam Department at Mala Carmel College. She regularly contributes articles to various periodicals and has translated the book ‘The Jarawas of the Andamans.

Prof. Kusumam Joseph serves as the State Convenor of NAPM (National Alliance of People’s Movements) led by Medha Patkar. Additionally, she is the State Chairperson of the Equal Representation Movement.

പ്രശസ്തയായ എഴുത്തുകാരിയും പരിസ്ഥിതി പ്രവർത്തകയും സാമൂഹ്യ പ്രവർത്തകയും പ്രഭാഷകയുമാണ് പ്രൊഫ. കുസുമം ജോസഫ്. തൃശൂർ സ്വദേശിയായ കുസുമം ജോസഫ്, മാള കാർമ്മൽ കോളജിൽ മലയാളവിഭാഗം അധ്യക്ഷയായിരുന്നു. ആനുകാലികങ്ങളിൽ ലേഖനങ്ങൾ എഴുതാറുണ്ട്. ‘ആൻഡമാനിലെ ജരവകൾ’ എന്ന പുസ്തകം തർജ്ജമ ചെയ്തു.

മേധാ പട്കർ നയിക്കുന്ന എൻ. എ. പി. എമ്മിന്റെ (നാഷ്നൽ അലയൻസ് ഓഫ് പീപ്പിൾസ് മൂവ്മെന്റ്സ്) സംസ്ഥാന കൺവീനറാണ്. തുല്യ പ്രാതിനിധ്യപ്രസ്ഥാനം സംസ്ഥാന ചെയർപേഴ്സനാണ് കുസുമം ജോസഫ്.
