Sunaina Shahida Iqbal

Sunaina Shahida Iqbal currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the School of Behavioural Sciences at Kannur University. Her previous roles include Assistant Professor of Psychology at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Delhi, and the University of Delhi. She earned her M.Phil and Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
Her research focuses on Gender Psychology, Cultural Psychology, and Political Psychology. She has presented papers at numerous national and international conferences, and her work includes various research publications, book chapters, and invited lectures.
Sunaina was a resource person for mental health support at the inaugural GPS Women and Girls “EmpoWomen” Summit, a virtual experience sponsored by the U.S. Embassy Port of Spain and the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) Washington D.C. She also contributed as a pedagogy expert to the Focus Group of the Kerala Curriculum Framework committee (KCF, 2022) for the Department of Education, Government of Kerala.

സുനൈന ഷാഹിദ ഇഖ്ബാൽ നിലവിൽ കണ്ണൂർ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിലെ സ്കൂൾ ഓഫ് ബിഹേവിയറൽ സയൻസസിൽ അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് പ്രൊഫസറായി സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നു. ഇതിന് മുൻപ് ഡൽഹിയിലെ ഡോ. ബി.ആർ. അംബേദ്കർ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിലും ഡൽഹി യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിലും സൈക്കോളജി അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് പ്രൊഫസറായി അവർ ജോലി ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. ന്യൂ ഡൽഹിയിലെ ജവഹർലാൽ നെഹ്‌റു യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിൽ നിന്നാണ് സുനൈന എം.ഫിലും പി.എച്ച്.ഡിയും പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയത്.
ജെൻഡർ സൈക്കോളജി, കൾച്ചറൽ സൈക്കോളജി, പൊളിറ്റിക്കൽ സൈക്കോളജി എന്നീ മേഖലകളിലാണ് അവരുടെ ഗവേഷണങ്ങൾ. വിവിധ ദേശീയ, അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര സമ്മേളനങ്ങളിൽ ഗവേഷണ പ്രബന്ധങ്ങൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള അവർക്ക് നിരവധി ഗവേഷണ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരണങ്ങളും പുസ്തക അധ്യായങ്ങളും ക്ഷണിതാവായുള്ള പ്രഭാഷണങ്ങളും സ്വന്തമായുണ്ട്.
യു.എസ്. എംബസി പോർട്ട് ഓഫ് സ്പെയിനും അലുംനി എൻഗേജ്മെന്റ് ഇന്നൊവേഷൻ ഫണ്ടും (AEIF) വാഷിംഗ്ടൺ ഡി.സി.യും സ്പോൺസർ ചെയ്ത, GPS വിമൻ ആൻഡ് ഗേൾസ് “എമ്പോവുമൺ” ഉച്ചകോടിക്ക് മാനസികാരോഗ്യ പിന്തുണ നൽകുന്നതിനുള്ള ഒരു റിസോഴ്സ് പേഴ്സണായി അവർ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. കേരള സർക്കാരിന്റെ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ വകുപ്പിന് കീഴിലുള്ള കേരള പാഠ്യപദ്ധതി ചട്ടക്കൂട് സമിതിയുടെ (KCF, 2022), ഫോക്കസ് ഗ്രൂപ്പിൽ പെഡഗോഗി വിദഗ്ദ്ധയായും അവർ സംഭാവന നൽകി.
