Dr. Vinod K Jose is an award-winning journalist whose career spans key leadership roles in journalism. He grew up in Wayanad and has worked as a journalist in both New Delhi and New York over a 25-year career. He served as the editor of The Caravan from 2009 to 2023 and previously worked as a radio news producer with U.S. public radio (2002–2007). His journalism journey began as a stringer for Malayalam and Kannada newspapers, and later as a reporter for The Indian Express in New Delhi.
Vinod holds a Ph.D. in the Sociology of Indian News Media and an M.A. in Journalism from Columbia Journalism School. Most recently, he was a Radcliffe Fellow at Harvard University School of Advanced Study. Vinod has received numerous national and international awards, and faces ten sedition cases for his journalism.
